Saris are bordered by a broad, red, or maroon-colored sari that has yellowish-brown patterns all over. The border is a width of 4 to 6 inches. To make pomegranates, brilliant peacock green, and parrot green is traditionally used. These three types of designs are woven in the lengthwise borders of the fabric and are called Ilkal dadi, Paraspet, and Gaadi.
