Indian Muslim Wedding Dress - Trends, Prices and Customs

What to wear for a Nikaah?

You've seen South Asian Muslim weddings in Bollywood films, and now you've been invited to one. Whether it's an Indian, Pakistani, Sri Lankan, or Bangladeshi gathering, you can count on superb cuisine, exciting music, and lovely traditions. Adding to which requires an Indian Muslim Wedding Dress.

Consequently, it seemed only fitting that we devote a piece to their ethereal beauty, which will keep you charmed the entire time! I like how they kept the look of their wedding classic while incorporating a modern twist. Nothing flashy, but delightfully basic!

We have divided the blog post based on occasions and famous attires usually seen in such traditions. We hope you have a good time reading and can find what you are looking for

Ghagra-Choli with dupatta:-

This Muslim wedding gown perfectly represents the bride's elegance and charm. The Muslim bride never misses an opportunity to seem royal like the queen, even if she is blushing as the bride-to-be.

A mild olive-green clothing, which is not too loud or extravagant, will gain your wedding guests' approval and blessings. This mesh Muslim wedding dress is unconventionally elegant and modest, consisting of a Choli, Ghaghra, Dupatta, and an open jacket. To complete the style, accessorize with gold or silver jewelry.

White hues:-

White is currently a standard color option for wedding apparel in India, even though it is not the traditional color palette. For an innocently gorgeous look, go with this white Muslim wedding dress. Add heavy gold jewelry to the elaborately embroidered off-white saree to complete the appearance. The needlework on a modest and gentle white backdrop makes it a treasure to have for a lifetime and a delight to see during a wedding.

Lucknowi Outfit:-

The Gharara is a famous Muslim wedding garment in South-East Asia. It is a traditional Lucknowi costume. It comprises a fitting pant that flares beautifully at the knee and an embroidered band, as well as a short Kurti or Kameez. Ghararas have a more feminine aspect than lehengas and are less bulky, making them more comfortable for Indian brides. This wedding season, ghararas are a popular choice.

Anarkali Paired With Hijab :-

With their wonderfully fitting tops and flaring skirts, these kurtas always highlight a woman's attractiveness and femininity. Anarkalis are now available in a wide variety of styles. The traditional combination, with austere ornamentation and a lehenga as a skirt, gives them a princess gown appearance. It is more acceptable for your bestie's wedding day if it is more decorated. At the Manjha (Haldi) or Mehendi, you can wear a more traditionally embellished Anarkali.

These glitzy kurtas with straight pants are a show-stopper in your closet. Consecutive pants are flattering on most body shapes and are appropriate for various occasions. Straight pants can also update the traditional kurta outfit. They enhance your style and get you set for your friend's Mangni when paired with simple silver/gold huge jhumkas & matching heels (engagement)

As a result, wearing them during various seasons and occasions. Modern yet modest enough for a Muslim wedding, the perfect jacket lehenga is a must-have. This design is stylish yet subtle for a Muslim Nikah because of the little flesh exposed.

They conduct a ceremony here before putting complete Mehendi to the hand. A tiny dot of Mehendi was placed in the center of her hand by family members.

Attire for Valima:-

Valima is a welcoming party for the bride held by the groom's family, and it marks the end of Nikaah. The friends and relatives assemble for the meal and see the married bride. The bride is decked to the nines in her most vibrant ensemble.

The bride's Mother-in-Law usually presents the bridal gown, and her decision influences her Valima costume. In many cultures, a mom-in-law presents her daughter-in-law with a set of apparel and jewels.

Heavy sarees, flowing lehengas, long-sleeved blouses, and dupattas or ghaagras are appropriate for this event. Bright red, dark pink, green, deep mauve, and hefty gold and silver jewelry with valuable stones are favored colors.
